The 2026 OCQ, Explained: Your Road to Miami Beach 2027
The road to Gymreapers Wodapalooza Miami Beach 2027 (March 11–14) starts with the 2026 Online Challenge & Qualifier (OCQ): five workouts over two weeks, starting November 5. Athletes from all over the world take it on from their own box, garage or hotel gym, whether they're chasing a spot on the floor in Miami or just testing their fitness against the community.
This year's OCQ works differently. There's no separate team qualifier anymore: every athlete does the workouts once, on their own, and that one effort counts toward Individual, Pairs and Teams of Three. Here's everything you need to know, from key dates and scoring to age divisions, invitations and Open Registration.
Key Dates
| What | When | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 (Workouts 1–3) | Nov 5–9 | Released Thursday, Nov 5. Scores due Monday, Nov 9 at 8:00 PM ET. Registration closes Nov 9. |
| Week 2 (Workouts 4–5) | Nov 12–16 | Released Thursday, Nov 12. Scores due Monday, Nov 16 at 8:00 PM ET. |
| All videos due | Nov 17 | Tuesday, Nov 17 at 8:00 PM ET. Upload with your scores or any time before the deadline. |
| Open Registration | Dec 14 | Opens Monday, Dec 14 at 8:00 PM ET. First-come, first-served. |
Workouts are released on our social channels and emailed to registered athletes.
One Qualifier, Any Format
New for 2026: you complete the workouts once, as an individual, and your score counts toward every format you're registered in: Individual, Pairs and Teams of Three. Pairs now qualify through the OCQ too, so there's no general registration for Pairs this year.
- Every athlete registers separately. Each member of a pair or team needs their own OCQ registration.
- Train wherever you are. Teammates don't need to be in the same gym, state or even country, and they don't need to do the workouts at the same time.
- Doing Pairs and Teams? Each registration needs its own email address, so use a different email for each.
- Registered in more than one division level (for example, Elite/Rx and Intermediate/Open)? If the workouts differ between levels, complete each version to that division's standards.
- Qualify in more than one format? You'll choose one to compete in at Miami Beach. The on-site schedule doesn't allow community athletes to compete in both Individual and Team divisions.
How Scoring Works
Pair and team scores are each athlete's individual score added together. Here's a sample workout scored as total reps:
| Format | Athlete 1 | Athlete 2 | Athlete 3 | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Individual | 100 | – | – | 100 |
| Pairs | 100 | 98 | – | 198 |
| Teams of Three | 100 | 98 | 102 | 300 |
Same 100 reps, three leaderboards: Athlete 1's score counts on its own and toward their pair and team.
Entering scores
- Only the team captain submits pair and team scores. The captain is the person who registered and paid for the team entry, and they enter scores for every teammate under their login.
- Scores don't carry over. Entering your score in your individual profile doesn't add it to your pair or team registration, so enter it under each one.
- One video works everywhere. You can use the same video link for every registration, and each teammate submits their own video for review.
Which Age Division?
Your OCQ age is your age on March 1, 2027, counted in years only. Months and days don't count: if you're 35 years and 7 months old on March 1, your age is 35. That means if you turn 40 after March 1, register in the 35–39 division, not 40–44.
| Rule | Requirement |
|---|---|
| All divisions | Every athlete must be 13 or older |
| Masters Pairs | Both athletes 35+, combined ages of at least 80 |
| Masters Teams of Three | All athletes 35+, combined ages of at least 125 |
Combined ages are counted in whole years too. A team aged 43, 41 and 40 adds up to 124, even if the months would push it past 125, so it doesn't meet the Masters Teams minimum.

FAQ
Are both weeks required?
Yes. Everyone completes both weeks, regardless of which formats they're registered for. Week 1 covers Workouts 1–3 and Week 2 covers Workouts 4–5.
Do I have to train at my gym?
No. You can do the workouts anywhere, whether that's your box, your garage or your hotel gym, as long as your equipment, space and video meet the standards on the scorecard.
Can I do some workouts in Intermediate and some in Rx?
Not if you're trying to qualify. You must perform the version of each workout for the division you signed up for and submit your scores and required videos. If you sign up for more than one division and the workouts differ, do both versions.
What's the difference between the Challenge and the Qualifier?
It's all one big competition. If you want to qualify for Miami, perform the workouts for your division and submit your scores and videos. If you just want to test your fitness against the community, you're welcome to take part too.
How do I sign up for both Pairs and Teams?
Use two separate emails and accounts. Each registration needs its own email address.
Do teams have to complete the workouts or train together?
No. Teammates don't have to be in the same gym or even the same country. If you're doing the workouts together, we still need a separate video for each athlete for the review process.
What if our team members have mixed skill levels?
If one athlete chooses to perform a modified workout, the other team members may perform either version, but the team's score must be registered as scaled/modified for that workout.
I'm turning 40 in March, right before Miami. Why can't I register for Masters 40–44?
Your OCQ age is your age on March 1, 2027. If you turn 40 after that date, register for 35–39.
Are there other ways to qualify for Miami Beach?
Yes. Division winners (1st place only) at Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal and Wodapalooza Mexico earn a qualifying spot. All registration fees still apply.
What if I'm invited in more than one format?
You'll choose one to compete in at Miami Beach. Community athletes can't compete in both Individual and Team divisions on-site.
Ready?
Registration is open now and closes November 9. Get yourself signed up, then tag your pair or team, since every partner registers separately.
