Pressure Grappling Series

This March, Pressure Grappling Series arrives at Gymreapers Wodapalooza Miami Beach, bringing the culture of Submission Grappling into one of the most electric fitness weekends of the year.

This is more than a series of matches. Pressure Grappling Series is a two day experience designed to expose the community to the culture of one of the world’s fastest growing sports and communities.

What Is Pressure Grappling Series

Pressure Grappling Series is a competitive grappling activation designed to run parallel to Wodapalooza, intentionally blending the worlds of CrossFit and jiu-jitsu.

The goal is simple: create an environment that feels authentic to the grappling community while welcoming the broader WZA audience into the experience. That means real matches, real personalities, and real connections, not just spectators watching from a distance.

Rooted in the Miami Grappling Community

The event will feature seminars, meet and greets, open mats, classes, brands, activations, live matches and more.  Our intention is to expose the greater fitness community to a new sport that has so many similarities and practical application.

The communities are very different and this is a great opportunity to blend the best of both worlds on one of the world’s biggest stages, South Beach during Spring Break.

The Main Card

The energy built during the events on Friday carries directly into the main card on Saturday.

The centerpiece is a men’s bracket, designed to create storylines and momentum as the night progresses toward the final matchup. These matches are selected for pace, personality, and finish-oriented styles, keeping the card moving and the crowd fully engaged.

More Than Matches: Community Experiences

Pressure Grappling Series is built to be interactive. Throughout the weekend, athletes and fans will have opportunities to occupy the same space through:

  • Community open mats, where anyone can step on the mat and be part of the environment
  • Meet and greet moments with athletes and coaches
  • Seminar style training sessions led by invited coaches

These sessions are hands on and movement focused, prioritizing interaction over long lectures and creating real connections across disciplines.
